SK Furniture Rentals - Terms of Service
Prior to submitting an order with SK Furniture Rentals, the client must review and accept these terms during the checkout process:
- Rental Duration
Rentals are effective for a period of 4 weeks, starting from the date items are removed from the warehouse. Extensions can be arranged in subsequent 2 week intervals, if needed. Should the client require a rental extension, adequate notice must be provided to SK Furniture Rentals. Failure to notify at least 1 week before the rental period expires will result in the client being invoiced for an additional 28-day rental. - Payment and Order Review
After the order is processed, SK Furniture Rentals will issue an invoice with a list of items for review. Modifications to the order can be made during this period. Once the order has been approved, the client will be invoiced for the remaining order balance. This payment is due at least 2 days prior to delivery and can be made via e-transfer or credit card. Credit card information will be needed in order to confirm the rental incase of any damages or last minute cancellation fees. - Delivery Scheduling
Deliveries are scheduled based on item availability. SK Furniture Rentals cannot guarantee rush service. To ensure timely delivery, advance notice is recommended. Orders should be placed no later than one week before the scheduled delivery date to allow for sufficient processing and packing. While SK Furniture Rentals makes every effort to keep stock information on the website up-to-date, availability cannot be guaranteed. Upon order confirmation, SK Furniture Rentals will verify stock and notify the client of any unavailable items. If necessary, suitable replacements will be arranged. SK Furniture Rentals will be delivered to the address confirmed on the invoice and will remain at this address until the scheduled pick up date. - Delivery
Delivery fees are as follows (includes drop off and pick up of items):- $250 within the tri-cities OR 40km from our Warehouse location: 215 Queen St. W, Cambridge
- $250 + out of service area fee ($2.00 per each km past the 40 km service area for each trip)
SK Furniture Rentals delivery team will place large items (such as sofas, tables, and heavy bins) in the designated areas. The client is responsible for positioning smaller items such as art and decor, which will be placed in a central location. It is the client’s responsibility to ensure that rented items fit within the designated staging space. If a second delivery is required to exchange items, an additional delivery fee will be applied. Please ensure entryways and driveways are clear. Blocked driveways (i.e.; snow/ice) may result in rescheduling of your delivery and a rescheduling fee.
- Liability and Restrictions
For liability reasons, the delivery team is not permitted to move furniture/artwork that is not part of SK Furniture Rentals’ rental collection (i.e., client-owned items). Items that are in the mover’s way of placing larger furniture pieces will need to be removed by the client prior to the delivery date. SK Furniture Rentals and its delivery team will take every precaution to prevent breakages or damage to property. In the rare event of an accident occurring, the client agrees that SK Furniture Rentals will not be liable to the Client or any third person or entity for any damages, expenses, fees or losses arising as a result. - Pick-up Responsibilities
The client will leave all items where they have been placed and the delivery team will retrieve and pack all items. - Damage and Replacement Fees
SK Furniture Rentals items are for display purposes only and will not be used for personal use or moved out of the property they were delivered to and indicated on the invoice. A credit card will be required and kept on file for potential damages. It is the responsibility of the client to ensure rental items are returned in the same condition they were delivered. For any irreparably damaged items (e.g., excessive scratches, tears, or stains, pet related damages), a replacement fee will apply and the client will be sent an invoice and the credit card on file will be charged.
For items returned with repairable cosmetic damage (food/oil stains, pet related damage etc.), the client will be charged the following cleaning fees on a per item basis:
Small items – $10-$50/ per item
Upholstered furniture – $25 - $100
Area rugs – $50-$100 - Delivery Delays and Restocking Fee
If the SK Furniture Rentals delivery team arrives at the scheduled time and the delivery cannot proceed due to unpreparedness on the part of the client or homeowner, the delivery fee plus a $100 restocking fee will apply.
